[Case] Dr. J. W. Cho, successfully represented the KFTC in an administrative litigation relating to the military hamburger patty bid-rigging case
On December 21, 2017, the Seoul High Court ruled in favor of the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) in the litigation for cancellation of corrective orders relating to the military hamburger patty bid-rigging case. The court recognized that the plaintiff colluded with other bidders in bidding for bulgogi patties and chicken patties ordered by the Defense Acquisition Program Administration from 2008 to 2012, and judged that the corrective orders and fines imposed by the KFTC were justified. In a related criminal case, prosecutors did not indict on the grounds that there was insufficient evidence for bid-rigging, but Dr. Jung Wook Cho, a managing partner of KANGHO Attorneys at Law, represented the KFTC and won the above administrative litigation by reinforcing evidence.
